OUR STORY

We pride ourselves on following the principle of “do no harm” and at all stages of our projects seek to gain the respect and trust of the local communities and stakeholders we work with.
At the heart of our company's foundation lies a rich legacy deeply rooted in the pursuit of mutual benefit for Papua New Guinean landholders. Inspired by a pioneering landholder rights consulting firm in Papua New Guinea, Poroman has forged its own path, evolving into a dynamic business committed to safeguarding the rights and interests of indigenous communities across the nation. The company's founders, Murray MacColl and Mal Brailey, recognised that Poroman's success lay in ensuring that the management team and majority ownership needed to be local and from day one this has been the foundational philosophy of our business.
From our humble beginnings, we have embraced a collaborative approach, forging enduring partnerships with both large corporations and PNG's Government. By fostering open dialogue and mutual respect, we have facilitated constructive engagements that prioritizse the needs and aspirations of local communities while promoting sustainable development for PNG's economy. Our journey has been defined by a steadfast commitment to bridging the gap between stakeholders, facilitating meaningful consultation processes, and advocating for fair and transparent land-use agreements.

PNG OWNED

Today, as we continue to build upon our legacy, we remain steadfast in our dedication to empowering Papua New Guinean landholders and skilled local staff. Through our comprehensive consulting services, innovative solutions, and unwavering advocacy, we strive to create a future where every Papua New Guinean can thrive, secure in the knowledge that their land is a source of prosperity, heritage, and pride. Join us as we embark on this transformative journey, shaping a brighter tomorrow for Papua New Guinea and its people.
