Joe PitaIAs
Senior Community Relations Advisor
From the Hela province, Joe Pitas is a Community Relationships Specialist with over 20 years’ experience working across the Agricultural, Energy and Renewables sector. Joe has worked for both the Government and in the Private sector. Joe is experienced in all aspects of community relations including stakeholder management, grievance management, landowner negotiations, SMLI (Stakeholder Mapping and Landowner Investigations) and supporting resettlement programs. Experienced managing complex community dynamics across PNG, Joe is experienced leading field teams in remote and challenging environments.
Judah Suka
Senior Lands Advisor
Judah originally from the Eastern Highlands, is a Land Specialist with over 14 years’ experience of all aspects of PNG’s Lands system both from a Government and Private Sector Perspective. With a Bachelor in Lands from PNG University of Technology, Judah worked in the PNG National Government Lands Department for 8 years, including as Registrar and Acting Director of ILGs. Since 2018 Judah has worked in the Private Sector both as a consultant for Darkon and directly by Oil Search and Fortescue Future Industries. Judah has worked on major resources and renewables projects and is considered a subject matter expert in ILG Registration, Voluntary Customary Rights Registration and all aspects of Land Acquisition and Land title in PNG.
APA Parunga
GIS Specialist
Born and raised in Port Moresby, Apa Parunga graduated from the University of PNG with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Statistics, Computing and Mathematics. With over 15 years’ experience in data management in the Community Sector, Apa has worked in a diversity of roles, including in the Health Department, Oil Seach Foundation and more recently for the World Health Organisation. Apa’s unique skill set includes data management, excellent written and verbal communication skills and community knowledge, allowing her to effectively manage data in a way which suits a variety of audiences including donors, clients and most importantly local communities.
Murray MacColl
Founder and Foreign Business Development Manager
Born and raised in Sydney, Murray spent the first decade of his working life with the Australian Army before completing an MBA and embarking on a business career. He has worked internationally for multi-national companies in project management, supply chain and contract management roles. More recently, he has established and run his own successful supply chain consulting firm in Australia. He has now chosen to invest in PNG and support the development of local communities and mentor the Poroman team in their own business skills development.
MAL Brailey
Co-Founder and Strategic Advisor
Mal is an executive manager and former Australian diplomat with three decades of government and commercial experience on the international stage. He currently works for clients in the Asia Pacific region as an “entrepreneur and intrapreneur” with a focus on climate and energy, critical minerals and infrastructure investment.
